ISAR CONGRESS 2022: MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Colleagues,

We are nearing the end of 2021, a year in which we had hoped to see a decline of the COVID-19 pandemic but unfortunately, we still have to deal with it worldwide. This was also the main reason to decide for a virtual meeting in March, instead of a physical one in Toronto.

We have received 97 abstracts and are presently in the reviewing process. In the beginning of January 2022, we intend to have the program ready and will inform everyone about acceptance or rejection of their abstract.

The congress dates will be Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26, 2022. To accommodate everyone as much as possible the time schedule will be 12.00 -16.00 GMT which means 20.00- 24.00 in Beijing and 08.00-12.00 in New York.

As we plan four hours of scientific program, we will select the best abstracts to fit in that time span. Furthermore, we will include two keynote speakers every day, covering the most important subjects, cartilage ear reconstruction, the use of alloplastic materials, hearing and research.

The day before the congress we are organizing two virtual workshops. One Cartilage Carving and one Alloplastic Master Class. Those who want to participate actively will receive the material necessary for participation.

As soon as we have all the information about the meeting and workshops ready, we will inform you by email and on our website www.isar-ear.com.

For now, I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a healthy, prosperous New Year in which our lives may return to “normal”.

Warm regards from Amsterdam and I hope to meet many of you virtually in March 2022.

Yours sincerely,

Prof. Moshe Kon, MD, PhD
President ISAR
